Kießling, Reinhardt and Westermann in German U 20 squad
Striker Stefan Kießling of 1. FC Nuremburg is honoured to celebrate his debut for the German U 20 national team versus Switzerland on April 21st. Kießling's teammate Dominik Reinhardt and Heiko Westermann of Greuther Fürth are also nominated to perform as usual in defence. The match is part of an international tournament in which four countries participate (Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany). Germany needs at least a draw result against Switzerland to stay on top of the table.
Meichelbeck stays with Bochum
Martin Meichelbeck prolonged his contract with German Bundesliga club VfL Bochum for another two years. The defender will be under contract until 30th of June 2006. The 27-year old who featured in Germany's B-National Team, performed in 64 Bundesliga matches for Bochum so far.
