Meichelbeck and Schlicke will play for Germany
Martin Meichelbeck of VfL Bochum has been nominated for the newly founded German B national side while Björn Schlicke of Greuther Fürth will be a member of the U-21 squad that will face Lithuania in a European qualifier this weekend.
Meichelbeck has the honour to perform in the first ever match of the so called "Team 2006" vs Turkey on Friday. The "Team 2006" was founded to bring talented youngsters closer to the national team with the aim to build a strong capacity for the World Cup 2006.

Bayer Leverkusen won yesterdays Champions League tie vs the Israeli Champions of Maccabi Haifa with 2:0. Among the best players on the pitch was again Pascal Ojigwe. The Nigerian international suffered a bad season in 2001/2002 after Rudi Völler quitted to be Leverkusen manager. Ojigwe failed to earn the confidence of new managers Vogts and Toppmöller and performed in just 3 League matches.
