MSV Duisburg, led by their team captain Bjoern Schlicke, are today celebrating promotion to the Bundesliga after they won their final second division match of the season. The traditional club from Germany's deep West joins champions Karlsruher SC, who had already clinched a spot in the German top flight. Duisburg recorded a 3-0 success against visitors SC Rot-Weiss Essen. Karlsruhe, who won 3-1 away to SpVgg Greuther Fuerth, finished top of the division with 70 points, followed by Rostock on 62 and Duisburg on 60. Bundesliga clubs 1.
