Bayer Leverkusen won yesterdays Champions League tie vs the Israeli Champions of Maccabi Haifa with 2:0. Among the best players on the pitch was again Pascal Ojigwe. The Nigerian international suffered a bad season in 2001/2002 after Rudi Völler quitted to be Leverkusen manager. Ojigwe failed to earn the confidence of new managers Vogts and Toppmöller and performed in just 3 League matches. The team's poor performance so far this season forced manager Toppmöller to field the young Nigerian vs Manchester United and Bayern München and Ojigwe surprised the experts with superb performances. Go on, Pascal!
